Street Shooting in Balboa with the M9!
Today I spent an hour or so photographing an (unfortunately) fairly empty Balboa Park. This is the first time I have really worked the M9 hard, and it acted EXACTLY like a Leica film M. I set 125th @ 400 ISO and worked the aperture ring with my trigger finger as I shot and it worked out beautifully. There is adequate latitude for exposure due to the range captured by the sensor, which seems to be slightly more picky than E-6 slide negs! All of these were either shot with a 25mm Voigtlander Skopar or a 40mm Leitz Summicron.
After Balboa Park I met my parents and their friends for dinner, at the post office I picked up the Zeiss Biogon that came in the mail for me today. It's tack sharp. This was shot hand held: 25th @ F2, 400 ISO

California Coast Roadtrip Complete!
Just got all my C41 negs back from the lab at George's Camera. All of these are shot on either a Leica M3 or M6, I just love rangefinders. Here are a few that I really like:
This is one of the 120mm shots I took during the trip; Hasselblad 500 C/M w. Zeiss 150mm Sonnar:
Below is a gallery of the film I shot during the SF Pride parade. I was shooting with a relatively shallow depth of field due to my film speed for a bit, the grainy shots are with Superia 1600 as I felt I needed to drastically up my speed to be able to keep a wide enough depth of field for street photography:

Alcatraz+Big Sur.
Thought I'd share a few digital shots from the trip so far, I've got a TON of film to process when I get back to San Diego, and will be editing the selections down, editing those photos, then trickling them out onto the blog.
Big Sur- Nikon D7000 with 11-16mm lens on it. The last shot before the body died...
All Alcatraz photos are off the Olympus EPL-1 with a 1960's Leica Summicron lens mounted on it. Check out that classic bokeh on the first shot!
