Before the rest of my post, I wanted to share 2 photos I made with the new Fuji X100. This is how well it performs at 6500ISO!
I made these while walking around La Jolla, California. One of the things I enjoy about my walks at night in La Jolla is the fact that the town is virtually empty after a certain time. Businesses close and the enclave is totally quiet, which I believe comes through in the photographs I've made of it. Also, there are quite an eclectic range of shops and architecture, which makes for fun walks.
Anyways some pictures from home:
San Diego Airport @ Baggage Claim.
My taxi home.
The photos below are from Gillespie Field. It's a small private airport that one of our friends was taking a flying lesson at.

Revisiting some old work.
Buildings and stuff.
I usually see this place and am attracted to the two identical cars parked at a weird diagonal, but something about the barn with this sad old wagon and the way the light was hitting it drew me to the scene.
I saw this motel as I was driving out to West Concord. It just seemed like the most depressing forlorn place, with the messy sheets hanging down and the sole lamp in the window. I honestly should have photographed one of the rooms, it looked like something Shore or Hido would have shot.
Florence Street Shrine.
Stephen walking and talking.
Kate working on finals.

Occupy Boston.
I decided to go to Occupy Boston today out of a curiosity of what the group was really doing, and a desire to document it. I'm glad I went. After being a little upset to see how the press photographers were treating the group I decided to take a little more human approach and show the people themselves instead of random snaps of peoples signs taken with a 200mm lens.
This is Maria. She is an RN and one of the people responsible for caring for the citizens of the tent city set up outside the Federal Reserve building. She is going through a divorce right now, and was staying at Occupy to help foster change and because it was a positive thing for her to do.
Her feet had a ton of blisters, she had to go barefoot. On her hospital discharge papers it said "do not attend occupy boston for 3-4 days". She didn't follow orders.
Below are some of the portraits I took throughout the day.
And now candids and sign pictures:
Obviously needed one establishing shot with the mask and the location.
