We've had quite a snowstorm here, and it's tragically destroyed many of the trees around our campus. Below are some of the pictures I took walking to our arts building yesterday.
Snow folded these branches into a low-slung tunnel over our sidewalks.

Windy day window.
Today I had been wandering around campus trying to make a picture of wind. After snapping away (on color film) at blowing dead leaves I started feeling fairly bored of my little project of the day (as well as hungry) so I decided to head home and make lunch. After I cooked lunch I left my cameras in the kitchen and then walked into my room and saw this as my door opened. Luckily my Canon was sitting on my desk so I grabbed it and snapped this frame and a few more of the blinds blowing in the wind. I was particularly taken with how the light played across the window in almost a sensual quality.

New toys!
My new Canon 1DS MKii came in the mail today! As soon as I got it out of the box I recoiled in horror about how many shiny gold badges and labels they stuck on this thing and got out my electrical tape to cover them all up. I've been playing with the ISO range, and at 100 it is tack sharp, and may even come close to rivaling my M9 (with the Canon stopped in to about F3.5 I'd say, it's not fair to compare Canon and Leica or Zeiss lenses). Anyways, below are the first few photos I've made with it. If you click through to Flickr you can see the image full size.
