Bighorn and Shoshone National Parks

Drove through Buffalo Bill State Park, Shoshone National Forest, and Bighorn National forest today. We came unprepared for snow (sandals and summer tires) but did fine through the mountains and made it all the way to Yosemite... which was closed. Due to avalanche conditions we were unable to enter the park where we had intended on entering on our original route and had to circle north to come into the park from another entrance. While driving through we'd see glittering eyes in our high-beams off the side of the road, and stop to illuminate them. Herds of Buffalo were moving their young through the area, and it was fascinating to watch how the large males and females protected the babies by walking less than 1ft on either side of them.

I'm sharing a few photos shot on my digital today, we drove through the US National Grasslands, Badlands, and went to Mt. Rushmore. All in all it was a great day and we got a ton of distance covered. I shot a ton of medium format and 35mm (Color Negs, Slides, and B&W) so I'll be uploading that once I get it taken care of when we're back in California.

Montreal Street Photo

Before I was in Niagara and Columbus I spent a week in Montreal. I just got the film I shot while there processed here in Ohio and figured I'd share a selection of the images with you. All of these were shot with a 1962 Leica M3 and either a 40mm Summicron or a 25mm Color Skopar (which I got in the city) and Ilford XP2 film.

For this post I'm going to share a sample from the new 25mm (which I am VERY impressed with) and then toss a gallery page on here so you can enjoy the pictures at your leisure since there are over 10 of them.

Columbus Zoo!

Today we went to the Columbus Zoo, I figured I'd try out some new glass since I would be taking pictures to kill the time we were there, so I rented a Sigma APO 120-300mm F2.8. It was a phenomenal lens and I loved using it.

Niagara Falls!

I'm currently driving across the country to California (after stopping in Montreal, Niagara, Columbus Ohio, and then meandering to the Sasquatch Music Festival in Washington State). I can't upload pictures from Montreal yet (as I was shooting mainly 35mm and haven't had it processed and scanned) but I figured I'd share some pictures from Niagara Falls.
